OK, the holidays are a week away and already the lbs are sneaking up on us. Tina Guaglianone pictured above, trainer extraordinaire for 17 years, reported on this week’s Fashionable Life that the Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna diet is C-R-A-Z-Y! SO little calories, no carbs and basically unhealthy! No wonder those girls look so grumpy!

Tina suggests the following 12 steps to get you through this holiday season with your pants still fitting!

1. Be realistic…don’t try to lose weight during the holidays..just try and maintain.

2. Do not arrive at holiday parties hungry.

3. Make time for exercise during the holidays..

4. Limit your drinking to 1 or 2 drinks.

5. Socialize…the more you talk the less you eat!

6. Wear tight fitting clothes so you feel uncomfortable when you have eaten too much. (I love this one)

7. Fill up on Veggies and fruit.

8. Bring yummy holiday dishes with you to the parties.

9. Drink plenty of water.

10. Watch your portions.

11. If you’re cooking, make a conscious choice to use less fats in your meals.

12. Try and enjoy…..don’t beat your self if you eat dessert.
