Japan Fashion Week came and went with a whimper. And why you may ask? Well, if the above picture is any indication of what was coming down the runways, we can understand the lack of enthusiasm coming from the pacific rim. Dim…som!

The Sargent Pepper jacket was spotted all over Paris during fashion Week and clearly this Balmain version which retails for $11, 400.oo is a sign that a few women who have not been impacted by the recession have bought into the trend! The jacket sold out on net-a-porter in 24 hours! OOH LA LA!!!

Lauren Bush debuted her new collection Lauren Pierce (Pierce is her maternal Grandma’s name as well as her brother’s first name) at Barneys today. Lauren’s line will be with an eye to helping women internationally. 10% of sales will go back to the artisans that made the garments. She has created a new model (and yes, she was a model) for fashion with an eye to making life better for the women who make the clothes. Lauren also goes out with David Lauren (son of Ralph). If they were to get married she’d be Lauren Lauren!

 OK, so this isn’t me but this IS one of the new bras I bought last week from Walcoal. Jen and I are always talking about how CRUCIAL your bras are to your overall look. With the correct fit, your clothes will look  and fit your body differently. It isnt easy to find a salesperson who really knows about fit and support. I recommend Vanessa at the Theory counter at Neiman Marcus in White Plains. She knows her stuff and cups sizes too! WORTH THE INVESTMENT!
