The girls are doing a line of Junior clothes for JC Penney, As news of the eyewear license that MKA are doing under The Row label,  this forray into the Junior market at prices that support he JC Penney pricing structure, will solidify their place as straddlers of the very high and low.This new generation of MKA fans will know the girls as designers not as actresses. If the line called Olsonboys (due in stores in Spring ‘10) looks like Elizabeth and James or The Row, a lot of Moms who can wear Junior clothes might be shopping at JC Penney with their girls or  just very jealous.

Leave it to fashion designer, Carolina Herrera to always ” hit it out of the ballpark” each and every time she dresses her favorite Hollywood gal, Renee Zellweger. I have to admit that sometimes I forget that Anne Klein is still around but when I stumbled on this GORGEOUS velvet jacket at  Neiman Marcus, I fell in love all over again. I hope we see more great pieces like this from the company because this velvet jacket with the ruffle detail this season is a sure crowd pleaser. $695 at Neiman Marcus.

Sequins is one of the bigger trends this season. Not in a disco kind of way a la John Travolta circa 1980 but more  in a “luxe” way.
