RESCUED REFUSE: A Fashionable perspective

I had the wonderful honor of  judging the Senior Jewelry/Fine Metals Thesis Exhibition at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn this past week with a group of distinguished jewelry ‘mavens’.

Danielle de Conge,  a beautiful young design student was not only a stand out, but someone with a bright future ahead of her. “Rescued Refuse” was her theme for her thesis project/collection. From the black Peruvian potato chip (400.00) to the “must have” rainbow coffee sleeve (a Starbucks reference) (600.00) Danielle took every day stuff and made it wearable and appealing with humor and style.

BRAVO to the emerging talent at Pratt Institute and thank you all for sharing your brilliance and inspiration.
